How to do the USB stick:
1. Please follow the link found here - https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
2. Select Download tool now and save the file onto your computer (most likely download folder)
3. Please run the media creation tool that has been downloaded
4. A box should appear displaying Getting things ready wait for the terms of service to load and press ACCEPT
5. Please select Create installation media for another pc and then press NEXT
6. On the next screen please select the UK, edition Windows 10 and Architecture X64 Bit.
7. Lastly, select USB Flash drive and click Next
8. From the final list select your USB drive and then Next again, this should install a copy of windows on to your USB drive.
How to reset Windows:
Once USB has been created follow these instructions. This will not wipe all information on the C drive!
1. Insert Windows 10 USB Download windows 10 on to USB (this will format the USB and it must be 8GB or above)
2. Power on the computer and continuously press F7/F8 or F12 for Gigabyte key for boot menu
3. Select UEFI – USB from the menu
4. Once in windows setup, select language and time zones and skip entering any product keys
5. Please follow the steps until you reach the troubleshooting page
6. Select troubleshoot, click the ‘advanced options’
7. Click the ‘advanced repair’ button
8. From the list please choose your Windows version
9. Windows will attempt to diagnose and repair itself
How to reinstall Windows completely:
Once USB has been created, follow these instructions. This will wipe all information on the C drive!
1. Insert Windows 10 USB Download windows 10 on to USB (this will format the USB and it must be 8GB or above)
2. Power on the computer and continuously press F7/F8 or F12 for Gigabyte key for boot menu
3. Select UEFI – USB from the menu
4. Once in windows setup, select language and time zones and skip entering any product keys
5. Please follow the steps until you reach the upgrade or custom installation page
6. Select Custom
7. From the list please locate your main SSD/HDD (usually disk 0) and delete until only 1 disk 0 (unallocated space) is present
8. Highlight this drive and select Next
9. Windows should be installing completely afresh
