How to monitor temperature on my pc ?

I have the asus maximus hero, does it have a built in temp monitor thing or do i have to download one ?

ASUS motherboards do have their own which is usually installed along with the drivers called ASUS PC Probe, but I've always personally preferred Hardware Monitor (http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.23.zip)
