How to get in to the BIOS on Defiance II?

My Defiance II laptop has just been delivered - very nice machine!

I wanted an OS free laptop, but it has come with Windows 10 (not activated).

How do you get in to the BIOS? I've tried F10, F12, F2, and the Del key while booting, but nothing seems to work - it always boots in to Windows.

I managed to do it by:

1. Booting in to Windows.
2. Holding down the power button for 5 seconds to turn the laptop off.
3. Starting the laptop and pressing the F2 button.

This worked for me :

In the start menu go to shutdown and hold SHIFT whilst selecting shutdown.

When the machine is powered down press power button whilst holding F2 until BIOS displays.

This was causing me a major headache and PC specialist support didn't seem much wiser. another more long winded method is as below :

To do this from windows please use the following method.

1. Navigate to settings. ...
2. Select Update & security.
3. Select Recovery from the left menu.
4. Click Restart Now under Advanced startup. ...
5. Click Troubleshoot.
6. Click Advanced options.
7. Select UEFI Firmware Settings.
8. Click Restart.
