I would very much appreciate any advice anyone can offer on how to install my newly arrived (purchased from PC specialist upgrades) mSATA SSD.
I have an Optimus V laptop and my understanding is that I need to remove the back panel to enable removal of the LED cover, then reattach the back panel, thus enabling lifting of the keyboard - but not detachment of the keyboard ribbon tether - whereupon the mSATA slot will be obviously visible for the new chip to be inserted. Is this correct? I am also upgrading my HDD at the same time, but this seems to be much more straightforward.
What special precautions/equipment should I take? (I have suitable screwdrivers).
I then need to re-install the OS selectively onto the mSATA SSD - will this be easy to do?
