how do I get the 9 most visited webpages in firefox to show up when I open a new tab?

searched google, couldn't find anything useful?

How do I remove the google search bar (see the pic above)

Click the search engine icon and select "Manage Search Engines" to open the search engines manager.
To remove a search engine, select it from the list, and click Remove.

I can't remove all the search engine options.

I'm sure the 9 most visited pages looked different. I have lost a lot of settings lately.

I edited these settings in firefox
about:config

browser.newtab.url; > about:newtab

Is there a better way of doing this??
