Help with the fan

I got the Inwin Dragon Rider case. When the PC came the large fan was disconnected because of the foam inside. It has two connectors. One had four pins, and the other had four slots for pins. I connected the one with the pins but don't know what to do with the one with the slots. Anyone know?

I might be wrong but some fans have a pass through connector, allowing you to daisy chain another fan from the same power supply cable/connection.

I see, so it merely acts as a relay? i.e. It is not required to be connected in order for everything to run fine?

I think you are referring to this fan? If this is the case I'd certainly agree with Vanthus and suggest it is to allow you to daisy-chain a few fans together from one power supply. You should not need to connect the other connector to anything for it to work.

Yep, I have that case; you can get rid of that side fan and put 4 smaller ones in if you prefer as an alternative.
