Hey guys just wondering if you could help me with this one, theres a few things i need to know so...

Does raid require 2 of the same HDD's to work properly? And is it worth getting 2x Intel SSD 510 series for the better performance or just raid with 1 or 2 normal HDD's? And is it even worth getting an SSD in the 1st place? Cheers.

You don't really need to raid SSD's for performance reasons, they're very speedy anyways, and one non-raided SSD will be faster than raided normal HDD's.

Should i get the cache SSD and a normal HD without the raid then? Seems like the best option from what i've read around on these forums. Just want an awesome spec for gaming lol but not over £1500(or there abouts) any ideas?

I agree with the HDD as well as a ssd as you need more than 120gb. Most people will use more than 120gb

Intel ones are meant to last longer, but OCZ are also of very high qualtiy, its up to you, do you need lots more writes or just raw performance?

But you can get a lot of choppiness from slow loading if you have a bog standad drive alhough the caviar black should be ok

If you can afford it then get it, but its not worth making the system weaker for it, id much prefer getting a gtx 590 to an ssd
