Help With Buying A Custom Built PC!

Hey guys i just wanted to ask ye're opinion on a custom built PC i made and wan't to know if it'll work ok. I'm just basically wondering if it will all work together?
I also left out small details like keyboard, monitor, USB slots etc.

What is the primary use of the PC? Work? Gaming? Editing?

Also, I think with the spec youve got, the COOLIT ECO is rather overkill. Nothing you have should need that kind of cooling.

I am sure there are more tweaks, but without knowing what you need, its hard to suggest what could be boosted and what could be dropped a bit (e.g. 4GB Ram instead of 8)

It'll basically for everything really, i will be gaming but not too much so i wont need a really high powered PC, i might get rid of the liquid cooling if you think its too much for what im using it for? Also the 8GB Ram is basically for the future aswell as i want the PC to last, i will be using for rendering videos aswell. So it'll be for small time gaming and video rendering etc.

basically the budget is about 900 Pounds roughly (ex. vat) because my dad has a business so i can get vat back at the end of the year . .

Hi,

As mentioned before a Budget will be handy, also what game titles you may want to play. The PC is rather under powered in it's current state and the PC will start to struggle before the extra ram is required so it will need balancing.

As mentioned before the liquid cooling is major overkill, the power supply can be reduced on your current spec and I would suggets a better hard drive. A top end 4 series or low end 5 series card would be the best way to go for editing and games so a budget is really required so we can make the best possible spec for you.

Hi again,

This should suit you well.
I am unsure of the case you would like but then it would put you over budget having a bigger case so you can drop the cooler to a standard or the PSU to a lower modle if required to make more room for a case.

As with the VAT, be very carefull with this as you can not reclaim VAT back on personal items. So unless the PC is being used for your dad's company you can not claim it back.
You can only claim VAT back if someone down the chain has actually paid the VAT, so either you or the Business need to pay the VAT.

Yeh its alright. Its not as if you couldnt find links to many competitors by googling.

As you will read at the bottom of Teaz's post if the budget of £900 is indeed excluding vat then upgrading the case to the PCS Maelstrom T900 and the GPU to the GTX 570 would be good choices

As mentioned I would be very careful with the VAT claiming you are talking about as if you do not do it right then you could cause a lot of problems so I suggest reading up on the restrictions on VAT claims or clear it with your dad's financial director. I would not want your dad going to jail for fraud :)
