Hello All,

Please take a look @ the spec below -- a while back I posted re. similar requirements (general PC use however mainly video/photo editing) but at the time could not go ahead as money needed else where.

Am back now and have been struggleing on with my old PC and am now ready to purchase.... some of my must haves -->

64 Bit Winows, 1 x 3 Port Firewire & a SSD for startup. Would like the new machine to be as quick as possible within my budget -- which @ the moment is around £1200. The quote below is slightly more so I can stretch to this, however would like to know if there's any better value/recommendations for my money.

Software am using GIMP, Photo Shop, Video Studio, Vegas as main editting but do use a few others for conversion.

The case, btw -- is as I like it's look :) and was not too much more to the orginal quote one.

I've played around with memory options, SSD & 2nd disc + Graphics card which seems to be the most costly items.

I don't need WiFi as this will be wired connection to router.

Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Brian

So just to update people and maybe PCS -- I have been a customer in the past and may well continue to be one, however in this case I have (as of today), ordered a new PC from a local computer store.

It's a small indepenent store and there was some disucssion around the oginal spec posted here, where we made and agreed some points. Price was also comparative and reasonable -- very slighly higher but a guranteed support for 12 months.

Please don't get me wrong I'm still a fan, however am not up to speed with all the hardware/changes and wanted the advice here from people who have helped me in the past.

In this case it did not work out and I needed to order the PC, so have spent my money locally.

Sorry if this offends, no intention mean and I did want to order from PCS -- just didn't work out this time.

All the best,

Brian
