HELP... NVIDIA Installer cannot continue

I just received my laptop this afternoon and I tried to update the GPU driver but it failed to update. I downloaded the update in NVIDIA website.
this what i get.

"NVIDIA Installer cannot continue"
"This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware."


I need help.

means you downloaded a driver for the wrong card :/

no... i downloaded the right driver... i have a gtx 560m...and i downloaded a gtx 560m driver

i just received my laptop and i tried to update it from 267.78 to 275.33 but it cant detect my gpu

after a failed update first thing to try is rolling back driver in device manager.Or has the previous driver been reinstalled?

you need to know your gpu hardware id by looking at device manager.

control panel--->device manager--->double click "display adapter"--->right click your name of gpu then click properties

then there should be a small pop up window.

go to "details" tab and on the drop down menu find "hardware id"
when you find it, there should be something like this (my hardware id)

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1251&SUBSYS_51021558&REV_A1
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1251&SUBSYS_51021558
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1251&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1251&CC_0300

yours probably different numbers to mine.

after that, go to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers

type the numbers in the textboxes you see on YOUR hardware id (the second one).
then choose if you want a certified driver or beta.
then choose your OS and press filter...
