Hello all, my 18 month odd old optimus 2 developed a faulty power connection and has melted out the internal power socket and the plug that connects the power brick to it. i asked pcspecialist about getting it repaired but their only option was to replace the entire motherboard for £250 odd, which i can't afford. Having done a bit of research it seems its a common enough problem and i've found a local pc repair guy who's willing to do the work but he doesn't stock the parts. So basically I have to find the correct replacement power connector socket (the bit inside the laptop itself) something like this:

and then also a power plug end to replace the burned out one currently attached to the power brick, this sorta thing:

Now trouble is I'm not that clued up about this and I was hoping you good people could give me some guidance as to what precise parts I need to look for, pc specialist told me that the optimus 2 uses a clevo w170hr motherboard/chassis so i understand there will be a specific power connector to match that...
As for the power plug it seems the dimensions are key so again if anyone can point me to the correct size replacement that would be just dandy
thanks for any help, Ralph
