Help needed - graphics card

Hiya all.

Finally got my new PC and have set it all up.

Unfortunately system prep failed so I had to reinstall Windows 7 again,

I have reinstalled all of the drivers off the motherboard CD, however I'm having trouble getting my graphics card to be recognised hence my 22" inch monitor has a very low resolution display. I have also installed the ATI drivers.

I've looked in device manager and it's listed as "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter"

I have plugged the DVI cable into the correct port at the back next to the 2 HDMI sockets. Do I have to disable something in the bios?

Thanks. :)

yeah if you ever have trouble just run windows update and it should download relevant drivers also :)

Hey,

We're sorry to hear that the Sysprep procedure had failed, it does happen from time to time :( The most important thing is that you are now up and running! Bring on the pics :D

Cheers for the reply guys. Loving every minute of it.

Thankfully I'm off work today so I'm going to give the graphics card a good testing. Grid looks amazing on it and runs flawlessly.

Pictures up in the pic section.

How often is 'time to time' if you don't mind me asking?

We've recently made some changes with a view to wiping out the sysprep problem, but unfortunately a few systems may have slipped through our production facility as this happened. I'm confident that with the changes sysprep won't need to be mentioned very often in these forums moving forwards. :)

Did this happen randomly? Or was it more commonly happening on certain types of systems e.g. systems with ati cards?

Considering the PC I ordered with yourselves for approx £1230 (inc gold warranty) would have cost over 2.5k with dell(or hell as I like to call them) think you can be forgiven for the odd system slipping through the system

It was caused by some code we wrote in our imaging tool. Our fault and we hold our hands up for this. We've found it and fixed it now, so it shouldn't happen anymore.

Thanks for this, however we will not be happy until we're not making any mistakes at all. :)
