HELP need to connect side panel fan

need to connect side panel fan to something but what?

any of the cables that fit should be fine preferably the white one in the pc the other connector on the fan allows you to connect another item through the same point.

as the other white one doesnt have pins and just has 4 holes like all the other ones

My monitor has a VGA port only, my graphics card only has a dvi port so I can't connect them -.0

Well that's what you'll need. Give them a ring tomorrow morning and ask if one should have been included in your welcome pack and ask if they'll send you one out. My guess is that you will not want to wait though, so you could just run down the shops and pick one up.

I think this cable would do it (it's a bit pricey though isn't it?). I don't know for sure though about the video quality.

You would be better off in future posting these questions in the technical support > desktops section, as that's where the techy experts hang out.

I don't think this adapter will work. It says it's to connect PC VGA to monitor DVI. You need the other way around don't you?

i thought that but if you look at the picture of the thing it's just an adapter with dvi one end and vga the other end. I think it works both ways, just connect my vga to the vga side of the adapter and then plug the dvi side of the adapter in

I'm not sure to be honest. You could ring PCS in the morning and point them to the links in this thread. See what they advise would be best, unless someone else can put their tuppence worth in before you speak with them.
