Weird problem with my TV

I also had the same problem with my old TV.



On some PC games, even when the game is running fine I get these weird lines appear on my TV, they seem to break up the image.


I don't know what they are, I've had this problem with 2 Tvs and 2 PC and 3 HDMI cables now.


A quick google search revealed somebody talking about a speaker being too close to the TV?



All I can guess is, interference,

was it the same make model tv ?
vertical or horizonatal lines ?
what colour are the lines, or are they similar but out of sync with its neighbours ?
is it only games causing the lines ? is it one particular game ? if so it might be the settings you're outputting

samsung le26a457 LCD was the first TV

this one is LG LED dont know the model





yes, only games cause the lines. I've had it on a few games.


it was worse on my old PC and old TV.



the lines aren't a colour they just seem to break up the visuals.


i can't explain ;;breaking up'' because the image displays it just gets broken thats the only way I can describe it

i've had vertical lines on my sammy that are really hard to see, they're sort of the same colour as what's on the screen but don't quite fit with the picture, there can be 4 or so lines - power off the tv completely for a few seconds and they've gone.

in your case as it's on completely different tv's and only for games, could it be the settings within the game, don't quite match the tv? some tv's also have specific modes, one of which being gaming - that might help ? or a setting somewhere maybe ? if i'm not mistaken tv's tend to have slower refresh rates etc compared to monitors - but i'm guessing now. consult the manual and post the model later in case other peeps here have one.

can't fix the problem.

just got sonic geenrations and i get these lines on the screen when I jump
