Hey all,
I have decided I want to upgrade my graphics card (mostly in preparation for the witcher 3).
My current specs are as follow:
COOLERMASTER CM690 MKII ADVANCED CASE
Intel® Core™i5-2500 Quad Core (3.30GHz, 6MB Cache) + HD Graphics
ASUS® P8Z68-V LX: USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, ATI®CrossFireX
8GB SAMSUNG DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (2 X 4GB)
2GB AMD RADEON™ HD6950 - 2 DVI,HDMI,2 mDP - DX® 11, Eyefinity 4 Capable
1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)
1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5 inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive

After a bit of research (also similar advice on one of my other posts) it looks as though upgrading to a r9-280x or a gtx 770 would be about right for my system.
However, is there a "best" brand for these?
I almost purchased to Sapphire R9 280X Toxic , but from it's specs it looks like it might be too big for my case (30.8 cm when Coolermaster say 30.4 max on their site) - though I dont know how much difference 4 mm will make - I just dont want to risk it

So, to sum up what gpu would give me the best upgrade with my current spec (including brand as they all seem to vary so much)???
Note: I am willing to upgrade my power supply to if necessary as I've seen some people having issues when buying new cards and not enough power (though if so which one).
