hey guys, i think that this is the last perif that im missing, (yeah stil having fun with the aivia :D) but im after a headset this time after any and all advice

Budget: £80 top end/max 110

NEEDS

Omnidirectional due to all of the background noise could do with a decent quality mic that will only pick up what is infrount of it rather than in the whole room

Closed headset, my mother is partially deaf and has the TV on like 1 million DBs need something that can cancel some of that out

Long term comfort. i tend to have my headphones on from somewhere between 3-16 hours (3 /5 during weekdays and 4/16 weekends)
so need something that wont do what my current ones do which is to make my earls really hurt when i take them off and after a while longer it hurts while i have them on

WANTS

Cloth would be prefered for the earpeace rather than a learther or plastic finish just cos of the way it looks and feels

also i prefer the sturdier bulkier builds rather than the thinner "sleeker" looks

NOT WANTED
I would prefer not to have a detachable cable, with the way that my set-up is there is a fair bit for me to snag the wire on it and woudl rip it out all day long >.<

and rather not have one of the headsets where the earpiece rotates 180 degrees, personally i see it as pointless and a detriment to the system >.<

thanks for any advice :)

wow, pretty specific.

I'd suggest having a look at major brands and see if anything tickles your fancy. Razer, corsair, tritton/madcatz, are a few i'd suggest.

Do you have a soundcard? as this will influence your choice in headset.

not atm , but have been looking at a few, how much of a difference does it make ?

It depends on the headset that you choose. If you have a good 5.1 analogue soundcard (ASUS DXG or ASUS DX) and good 5.1 analogue headset say then you are going to have great 5.1 surround sound, great for games and music.

Or you could go for something digital? although this will go over your budget by great deal.

USB headset would be worth looking at I think. Saves you buying a soundcard and you should get good quality sound via usb. - Although probably not 5.1 / 7.1
