HDMI Socket loose

For the first time tonight I fancied watching watching a DVD with nero on my laptop through our TV. Using the HDMI cable we normally use between our freesat box i plugged the new vortex in to find that the signal came and went on our tv screen when the hdmi was just slightly moved in the socket and it was very hard to get a signal without it dropping out due to the HDMI not making a proper connection.....is this correct on other peeps laptops?

Thats not correct, should be a nice snug fit and shouldnt move unless you properly pull it out. Signal should deffinately not drop off. Id contact PCS about this. A mod may see it in here and be able to help but Id send them an email describing the problem or linking them to this thread.
