I know they both do the same thing (no sound dvi) but which has a better for gaming, is there much of a picture difference or any effect on fsp? I've noticed hdmi gets deeper colours on some youtube vids it that common?

Most say dvi for everything PC related, hdmi for films of photos etc. Is that correct?

Any help welcome, thanks in advance.

I was under the impression that HDMI and DVI were pretty much exactly the same apart from the audio stuff, but I could be wrong.

Thats what i thought but some conflicting evidence has made me question it, some people even say the type of monitor (LCD,LRD,Plasma) etc can make dvi or hmdi better than the other. I don't know enough to take that on face value so i'm looking for answers.

Might be a case of just try both myself i guess, thanks for the fast reply!

i dont think its actually the cables but the screen along with the settings and how its made which give different visuals but usually its hdmi and dvi cables which deliver fine images.

DVI is as capable of sending audio as HDMI, its just most DVI displays cant use it.

For me its DVI all the way when connecting a monitor.
