Haven't had the time to try your hotline, but the other avenues of contact fail a bit

I placed an order at the weekend and got through putting all the necessary details in without a hitch, or so I thought. I got to a final page saying my order had been placed and telling me that I could now log in to track my order.

Problem is I didn't have any login details.

But I've ordered before from a different email address and knew that the login details were emailed to me. Several days later I haven't heard a thing, no email order confirmation, no log in details. So Monday evening (because it was the first working day after all, just in case the system wasn't automated or had broken over the weekend) I shot an email to the [email protected], and haven't heard anything back, not even a 'we'll look into it'

Now it's only been a day, so I admit I'm pretty damned impatient, but I figured if there were others ways of contacting PCS why not try.

So I tried the live support:

Been on for over an hour, am first in line, with a perpetual minute to go. Does this actually work?

Now I'm trying the forum, less to solve my problem because I understand this isn't the place to solve these problems, and I'll likely be told to go through another avenue. but instead to highlight that the Live Support seems to fail, and that the enquiries address could do with having a system to reply to every email with any form of reply, even just a 'Hi, we are here, we've got your message, bare with us'.

You see I've been on the site, tried to order a laptop, tried to see if it worked via email, then live support, and it seems that PCS are quiet on all fronts.

Tomorrow I'll be calling during my lunch break and am sure that will work and I'll get my problem sorted, but I just wish the other methods worked better!

Thing is I don't have the time to take a potentially long phone call today. I'll have to wait for tomorrow. Sounds odd because I'm on the forums and waiting around on the live support. But I'm at work and typing posts is far easier to do when I have to take calls and keep working. A phone call would get in the way because it would take all my attention. Plus I have a busy lunch today, otherwise I would be calling today.

The chat always seems to bug out for me like that too, not quite sorted yet

email is also at least 48 hrs if not longer

Try the call centre usually you get a better response

I have emailed an updated password to the email address linked to your order.

If you log in you will see that the order is still Awaiting Payment as the card payment made on 25th June appears to have failed.

You can try again from your account, and hopefully this time everything will work ok.

With regard to the lack of email reply, the Call Centre is very busy at the moment and calls are taking precedence over emails and livechat. Our guys are working hard to catch up.

SCHMEXELLENT - Got a reply from PCSpec I'm in now, my order is placed, which makes me exceedingly happy. BUT...

...Live support could be a lot better, enquiries could be better too even if it was an automated reply. I think I just wanted to know something was happening, I thought maybe a singularity had opened up over Horsham.

EDIT: JMOB Thank you very much, will retry the card stuff.

Update: retried and Natwest screwed up their security page, so it didn't communicate back to the PCspec site. Then when I tried again the PCspec site told me that the Natwest security system was saying it had already tried this order. So in the end I cancelled the entire order and began anew. The order has now gone through successfully.

I'm blaming Natwest for this pretty much entirely. I despise the security page, my experience of it has been that it is sporadically reliable.
