Haswell USB Bug

As I am sure most who post here are aware, the first batch of Haswell chips come with a USB bug where you might have issues with using programs from sleep.

Last I read there was no sure way to fix this issue and no guarantee a fix will be available if you buy that first batch of processors.

My question is whether any new information is available on this and whether PCS know (if a rep is here) can say whether it'll be fixable and if not, when will the hardware with a fix be available.

I am really tempted to buy my Optimus V now but I thought it was a question worth asking.

I thought this was only the desktop versions but I didn't really put much study into it. I would also like to know as I was planning on buying the Optimus V on the 6th and have a quote ready.

Edit: After a quick google search I found out that it includes the mobile chipsets.

The "USB bug" - if you can even call it that is present on all Haswell models and will be present until around Christmas time at a guess.

The issue only occurs on certain chipset pen drives, etc. and just means that if you happen to put your computer to sleep with a pen drive left it - you'll need to take it out and re-insert it. This only applies to some pen drives - not all of them.

It's such a minor issue that all global manufacturers have gone ahead with launch.

Thank you, PCS, for the comment. It's good to get some insight into this "bug", as you say. It has been commented on extensively on the internet, so a little reassurance is never amiss. I will definitely not wait until Xmas to buy one of those machines :D.
