I am now on working day 17, I have been told that the delivery of the unit maybe at the end of October...... I need to consider what to do. The only thing stopping me is that it will be upgraded to the 6th generation of the i7

This is killing me. Why did I get an estimate for the 28th, when it's now at the 5th. That's a week's difference. I'm sure they could've narrowed the estimate down a bit more than that, instead of getting my hopes up for a build date that is jumping further and further away from the original estimate. Very disappointed in the way they've handled this.

I'm a new student at University and I could really be using the laptop and as they days go on this need is growing. The only thing that is stopping me from cancellation is the upgrade, which as a student, is pretty significant saying I hope this will do me a few years so I don't have to blow more money. I know I'm probably coming off as an impatient prick but I hate being in the situation where I know I'm getting a good upgrade, but at the same time really could use it sooner rather than later.

Is it going to be Lafite or Lafite 2? If it's a Lafite 2 can you please do a review as there are none yet.

well, its arrived. I was told i was getting a free upgrade to lafite 2.

what turned up was a slightly beat up lafite 1...

its gone straight back

actually, it was not assembled well.

the base didnt fit well and stuck out on one side


the lid didnt close square


the screen bezel stuck out on the top right corner

I ordered mine (Lafite II) on 28-09-2015, bank transfer cleared on 2-10-2015. Then yesterday (5-10-2015) it moved straight into building (skipping pre-production stage), and 3.5 hours later into testing. I hope it will enter QC today.

EDIT: I'll surely write a review of it as soon as I get it.

Kinda annoying to hear this, considering I'm still waiting for mine in the post, after waiting 14 working days for it to be built!
