Has anyone heard of a website called rakuten?

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas !!
I am currently looking for some sort of gaming chair that I can use with my tv every so often. I stumbled upon a site called rakuten and found a few interesting chairs.
I know your not allowed to post competitors links however I don't believe this site to be a competitor - if it is I apologize.

has anyone used this site before? is it legit??

I wouldnt use it, it`s a online mall service meaning anyone can set up a "shop" to sell what they like or scam whoever they like, there are reports of CC fraud on there, do a search to see what you can find but personally I would leave well alone.

Rakuten are a reputable company, they own Play.com for example. That global page is the same as buying from an Amazon reseller, as long as you research the reseller carefully (check their rating, see if they respond to email enquiries, etc) you should be fine.

Just be aware that if you order something that bulky from Japan, the odds of getting stung by customs are going to be higher.

They bought out http://www.play.com/ a while ago and turned it into a market place.

Haven't done any more looking up, and not doubting Yamaha's comment, but there is nothing overtly dodgy about the company, like there isn't about eBay...the people that sell on it however...

thanks for the reply's guys :) I will look into the company as you say don't want to get stung.
just trying to find a decent chair for gaming on my tv keynes. looking for one very low to the floor. but don't want to pay a lot.
