Hello everyone. I am in the process of finalising the spec for my new laptop (http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forum...ery-high-spec-laptop-to-last-a-good-few-years - spec has changed since then, but it'll be similar to that only 17.3") and was wondering if somebody could confirm that they are able to use proper hardware virtualization on their Vortex II 17.3" machine?
Ideally, if somebody with either a 2760QM or a 2860QM could confirm that they are able to run VMs and utilise hardware virtualisation I'd be most grateful.
My understanding is that this feature should not appear in the BIOS, but instead is simply forced to "on", which will be great if true. But I need to be sure before spending £2000 on a laptop!
If you have one of these machines and don't know, then maybe you could run this app and let me know? http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=592
If I ever get five minutes during the day to telephone PCS and find out the definitive answer then I'll post it here just in case anybody else is interested.
Cheers
