Hard drives disappearing?

Hi there.

I got my computer last Friday, looks amazing and works really well. Cable management is great as well. I've had a couple of issues though. First one is solved. That was terrible screen flickering, and I just plugged my screen to the second card and it stopped the flickering.

- Wondering if the first card is damaged or if that is a common issue with SLI and gtx580?

Second problem and this is what really worries me, is that the 3rd and 4rd hard drives suddenly disappeared when I was copying some files to them. I had a screen error message something like "can't copy this file because the drive is not connected". And when checking it was 2 of them gone. One caviar black and one caviar green (2tb both). And I did one reset and they were back. Now, this caviar black is where I plan to store the files I'm working on at the moment and the caviar green is where I will keep copies or store the finished work. So if they are faulty and I lose my work I will be in trouble with my clients etc.

- Is this normal? why is it happening? Never happened to me before so I have no clue about this.

Any help will be much appreciated.

It's possible a few things became dislodged or semi-disconnected in transit.

You might want to have a look inside and make sure everything looks properly connected, and possibly reseat the graphics card that was causing issues.

Thanks, I've already done that though. Before turning the pc on for the first time I checked that.

Checked again now just in case, and nothing seems to be loose at all.
