Gtx675mx vs amd 7970m

Hi people i am buying a vortex laptop from here but am unsure which graphics card to go for since there is not much price difference. Your opinions would be very much appreciated, I will be using the laptop mainly for gaming and hope it would be sufficient enough to play games for at least a good few years on high settings.

The AMD will give you added bonus of being optimused for TressFX for real Lara Croft hair WOOP

The Nvidia will givee you Physix which adds little effects to the games to make them look nicer.

What kind of games are you going to be playing?

Cards should be fine for medium to high settings, only a few games on ultra would they struggle with.

The 7970M is said to be the faster of the two, as the notebookcheck links the SmokeDarKnight posted show.

There was a long-running problem with the 7970M drivers which made it a dubious choice but those issues seem to be resolved now.

Yeah my friend has the Vortex 3 with the 7990m and although it does work great its been quite a lot of work. Swapping between drivers and betas finding the best solution.

Another issue that seems to be occurring with beta drivers and windows 8 is the lack of brightness control.

thanks for the reply i think i am going to go for GTX675mx because theres not that much difference and dont want no hassle with drivers and such.
