Gtx 680 As Powerful as 3x gtx 580's?

you must remember that making graphics cards SLI isnt doubling the power

i think a second nvidia adds around 60% on average

and a 3rd card adds around 30% on average

and a 4th is just a waste of money

they probably are going to be powerful but I bet a massive price tag will follow. Amd's offerings are of very good performance with lower power consumption, heat output and price tag will be hard to beat.

I don't really have an opinion about 1 card being as powerful as 3 580's apart from I will believe it when I see it. lol or more likely when its reviewed

I'm hoping the price of 580's drop a couple of hundred, but pretty sceptical on that. I would switch to 7950's but I aint got a gen 3 mobo.

I probably will, there's just something about amd gpu's that makes me want one! I think its the value of the things!
