Yes, another GPU thread from me :)

What are peoples thoughts on this card? From what I can see, it would appear that this card is not Regularly availible in the UK, is that right??

Also, is it worth spending the extra dosh on this over the GTX 470?

Just working out what to get really.

Thanks in advance!

For the first question;
Well the cards only just been launched so naturally it isn't widely available yet in-stores. Though online retailers such as Amazon etc seem to have plentiful supply.

For the second question;
It's always best to try and get the current generation (in my opinion) if you're getting a new GPU as it allows for better future-proofing. Though the 470 would do you well for a couple of years without needing to be upgraded. The 570 has the performence of a 480 (there-abouts, from what I've heard) and is also quieter and cooler than the 4xx's plus has lower power consumption.

Did you not pretty much already ask exactly this in your other thread and did I not answer it fully enough?

You asked if it was any better than the 460 and if the 570 was worthwhile and my reply was:

Yes the 570 is very worthwhile. Pretty much taking over from the 480 but with less noise and less power consumption.

So if you'd read my reply you'd know the answer to your question already. If its taking over from the 480 then YES its obviously better than the 470 which is a step down from the 480. It still also uses less power than the 470 and still makes less noise. You won't find a better card on the market at the moment.
