GPU question

Hi
I currently have upgraded from the radeon r7 260x to the sapphire r9 270. I knew that the sapphire was a better gpu (otherwise i wouldnt buy it ofc), but i was just wondering why does it have better fps? the clock speeds are actually slightly on the r9 270 (not when OC'd) and so i was puzzled as to why the r9 270 has a better performance. Also i was wondering how well this card would be able to run gta 5 with a 3.4 GHz processor and 8GB ram:)
thanks

Above link sums it up pretty well. As for GTA 5, noone will know yet exactly how it will run but I would expect with that card you should be able to run in at 1080p with medium settings. If it is optimised badly then low/medium is more likely. It is a very budget orientated card unfortunately, but you should be able to get it to run the game to some extent. With a lower resolution like 720p it will run considerably better.

Yeah I saw that whilst looking it up for myself - for the gta thing - i dont mind having low settings aslong as it is 1080p really - but anyways, is the clock speed and memory not actually that important?
