GPU Issue

Hi everyone,

I have been using an AMD Radeon HD 6670 in my desktop for the last couple of years now and it has been perfect until today. My monitor randomly went black, it came back on about 4 seconds later but with a terrible resolution. So i checked what the resolution was and it said 1920x1080 which is weird because thats what it should be but the resolution is awful. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver with no luck.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Weird....

You could try unplugging the monitor and plugging it back in (sorry... I feel bad suggesting it, but it really does work a lot of the time!)?

Don't suppose you have an alternative monitor you could try to see if the problem persists... or another computer / device you can plug your current monitor into?

I didn't even think it was this because i assumed it was computer related. Turned out that unplugging the monitor worked!

Thanks for the advice

The BSOD Doctor
"Switch it off and then switch it back on" has been a valid problem resolution technique since Alessandro Volta invented the battery in 1799. :)
