gpu core clock speeds

hi all a quick question, i am looking at gpuz readings for my grpahics cards and was just wondering if its normal for the gpu clock speed to go up and down as im watching it on my desktop, both graphic cards are showing this . just asking as i think i have got to send a gpu for replacement ?. thanks

Do you have the GTX 670? The clock speed should vary (GPU boost : Dynamically maximizes clock speeds based on workload of the game to push performance to new levels and bring out the best in every game) if I am running a benchmark programme that pushes the GPU the clock speed would go to the maximum. Unless you are having problems while gaming or running other applications I would not worry.

yea its totally normal, the clock speeds do tend to go up and down when you do things, right now mine are doing nothing at all, so the clock speeds just drop pretty low.
