GPU clock speed far too low

Hi all, got a problem I was hoping you could help a little with, thanks in advance :).

My spec has the GTX 670MX, I had to RMA the laptop recently, and during testing PC Specialist found the GPU to be faulty, before this RMA the clock speeds were fine, 601 core and 1399 memory.

Since the RMA frame rate in ALL games has been less than half what it was beforehand, so I checked the clock speeds and they're running at around 185 core, the memory clock is a little higher, and sometimes still reaches the 1399.

I've tried various driver releases to see if this is the problem, the drivers on the Clevo site don't recognise the graphics card so don't install at all.

On a side note all the laptop temperatures have run a bit higher since the RMA.

I've emailed PC Specialist about the issue already but would like a view from this amazing community :).

Download ProcessExplorer, completely free - put it into google, and leave it running (all the time is a good idea it's an excellent utility) - run whatever it is that you run games or program wise in terms of stressing the gpu, and then have a look at the gpu readout from process explorer, it will give you a percentage of how much the gpu has been working. Cross reference this with something like gpu z, which will give you core temps and clock speeds.

The figures you quote make sense in terms of real performance, your core was 601 and now it appears to be 185, so something is wrong, but it seems unlikely that your gpu has been replaced with a restricted version. Have you done any research on the internet to see if there are restricted or cut down versions of the gtx 670? Notebookcheck is a good place to start.
