GPU Advice

Hi

I'm considering going from a desktop to a laptop due to portability issues and have a budget of approximately £700.

As I only realy play Football Manager as a game and most other tasks will be internet, word processing, etc I was considering whether I could just have integrated graphics and if this would suffice my needs rather than paying for a dedicated card.

However unlike on the desktops the laptops that I have been looking at don't allow you to choose integrated graphics they automatically come up with the dedicated graphics card on the configurator.

My questions therefore are:
1. Are you able on the laptops to only have integrated graphics?
2. If you are, would integrated graphics, from lets say a 3rd generation intel processor (i7), be good enough for my type of usage?

Thanks

Yes you can on some laptops, but not any of the higher spec one. And no i expect pretty much any game more intensive than intertnet flash games would be too slow on integrated graphics and your cpu has nearly no effect on integrated graphics, also it'll take about 2GB of your ram which is unnecessary ;)

I'd recomend a cheap(ish) actual graphics card and youi can easily build a decent laptop with one included :)
