Interesting article, I had heard of the potential to use graphene. In the meantime, it looks as if the Intel Cannonlake wilol be 10-nanometer and could be up to eight cores: http://www.fool.com/investing/gener...-upping-its-core.aspx?source=eogyholnk0000001

I have also read, but can't find the articles at the moment, that Intel think seven-nanometer is possible but not with silicon, using something like indium gallium arsenide. I wish now I could remember more of my Chemistry but it was a very long time ago.
