Good evening all.

Just ordered my first gaming (to me, not TOO high spec) PC, been a long time since i've played games properly on PC as i only have a laptop at the moment with all the consoles but the pull of PC gaming just got too strong and so here i am!

Looking forward to getting BF3 and comparing to the Xbox copy, although there is not a doubt in my mind i will be blown away.

Anyways, thought i'd best join this forum because i will definitely be in need of help at some point down the line.

:)

apparently this is the best budget gpu/cpu combo because they can crossfire?

my uncle knows about this stuff and advised me a bit on this build but any other info would be handy, probably wont be too long before i start upgrading though! (say 6 months)

tried to post my specs but am waiting for a moderator to approve it, is there a quicker way to post? a link i can find or something?

Nope, no quicker way, after a certain number of posts you'll stop getting auto-moderated when you include specs or links (sometimes specs are fine going through, sometimes not), and until that point you'll just have to hope that any moderators on are paying attention and aren't off doing something else :)

Haha, good timing!

Let me know what you guys think, i hope i haven't made any serious coq ups!
No noticeable difference in gaming between 1333mhz and 1600mhz memory, you could upgrade to silver warranty for £5. If you want better cooling/airflow you could also consider a slightly bigger case and the triple copper CPU cooler.

would i see a performance increase with better cooling/airflow? or is it purely a reliability/noise thing?

Lower temperatures for your graphics card and CPU, after extensive gaming the CPU tends to get hot thus the advice to get the triple copper heatpipe instead of the standard cooler.

I take it they are relatively easy to replace at a later date?

i do have alot of experience with the sensitive components within electronics as i manufacture alot of downhole and surface electronics for an offshore company so should that make it easy enough?

Replacing the cpu cooler would be easy (some cooler are a bit time consuming to fit in) but replacing a case may be a bit more challenging.
