GeForce® GTX 485M crash problems.

I have the following graphics card in my Vortex II laptop. The card regularly has problems, with the driver crashing and "recovering" which it does not do very well.
2.0GB nVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 485M - DirectX® 11 (17.3" Vortex II).

I have been advised by PCS to reload Win 7 (Ultimate x64) and update the driver, which I have now done twice.
There appears to be no change in the frequency of crashes.

Anyone know of anything else I should try please.

Thanks.

I would try and download a program to see what the temps are on the card, with it being that particular model of card, and not being sold for a very long time I presume it may need the fan / heatsink cleaning out.

download this program http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2181/TechPowerUp_GPU-Z_v0.6.6.html

Install and run it at the same time as a benchmarking utility - I normally use this:

I suspect running the above will cause the display driver to crash - if so, please call our guys in the tech department on 0844 499 4000 and they can walk you through cleaning out your fans / heatsinks if you don't know how to - its always good to know as laptop cleaning is all part of the general housekeeping :)
