I have the 750w PSU there as a place holder because the 650w PSU cannot be a part of the fast track build time.

My questions are, what are the generic unbranded hdd's from pcspecialist like? and is it worth paying the £40 more a western digital hard drive?

also, the GIGABIT LAN & DUAL-BAND WIRELESS 802.11N 450Mbps PCI-E CARD will be fine for getting a wireless connection? dumb question possibly but just making sure. :)

thanks for reading.

Were you planning on overclocking? From the choices you picked above, it looks like you are, but if you weren't you can easily drop the processor down to the i5-2500 (the k variants are basically the same but unlocked for easier overclocking), drop the RAM down to the Samsung 1333MHz (since you wont really see any difference if not overclocking) and the cooler down to the triple copper one. Overclocking isn't really needed for gaming, its the GPU that will be doing most of the work anyway.

I 100% agree with rakk,

on the note of ya a hdd, I'd certainly go for a 2tb wd caviar black drive, you can read about them here

Also i'd consider chinning off the fancy wifi card, and invest in a set of homeplugs, they send the internet through ya house wiring to give you a constant booming connection. You can read about them here, if you didnt already know.

edit - it also may be worth checking to see if you can afford a 850w psu or a 1050w corsair if you wanted the option of adding another 680 in the future or not. Personally I'd the money from the fast track for this.

getting these as price difference is marginal and I may overclock myself at a later date. I know the processor isnt the bottleneck for gaming, but thanks for telling me.

I wont be adding an additional gtx 680, and I need the fast track to get my rig in time for diablo 3 :).

thanks for the advice on the hdd, just read that link.

ive always been wireless, its not a big deal for me to change, I guess its just habit, but how do I know if it will work with the wiring in my house?

assuming that it doesnt, thats the best wireless card I can get from the options there?
