  • 1) Your budget (you might not have a budget as such, but you will have an idea of the max you'd like to spend)
About £4000 (including a 4090 FE which will be bought separately)
  • 2) What's the PC / Laptop for (gaming, workstation, heavy VM use, etc.) <-- as much detail as we can get here helps!
VR gaming
  • 3) What monitor will you be using (especially important for gaming) <-- there's no point in us suggesting a lower end graphics card if you have a 4K high refresh monitor!
A VR headset (Meta Quest 2 initially, will upgrade within the next 6 months)

I haven't included a gpu as I intend to buy a 4090 FE on 12th October to put into this system.
I've over spec'd the psu as there's a good chance i'll upgrade the gpu when the next generation (5000 series) are available.

I would suggest the H150i as a minimum on anything but the 7600x for next gen chips.

Although the PCS 360 is 360 in size, the pump throughput is nowhere near as high as the Corsair equivalents, meaning it can't push as much coolant around the cooler paths, and therefor cooling potential is reduced.

Also with the Corsair coolers, they come pre applied with high quality paste so no need for MX4
