Gaming PC, need advice

I'll hopefully be ordering in the next few days, this is what I'm currently thinking. It'll mainly be for gaming (AAA, high settings), game development and occasionally image/video editing. I took the ram down from 16 to 8 and I think this will be sufficient for most games? Budget is £1250, I've gone over a bit but can't think of how to bring it down without knocking the graphics card down. (Last PC was a laptop which is why I need monitor and mouse/keyboard)

Any questions as to why I chose this spec for you?

Would it not be better to base it on one of the new skylake CPU's for future proofing purposes?

The spec you posted will be better for video editing but for gaming you can benefit from a better gpu. Depends on the type of games and resolution of your monitor

I'll only be using a single monitor at 1920x1080, playing games like the witcher 3/fallout 4 etc.
