Gaming PC ( Intel and Geforce based )

Your opinions please.....


Maximum budget is £1000.00, I'm looking to build an Intel and Geforce based gaming system that will run everything out there at reasonable spec, Battlefield 3 , Diablo 3, Star Wars the Old Republic etc etc.
I think a Quad core processor is an absolute must nowadays ? Could I go AMD quad core?
However I really rate Geforce and want to stick with that.

I'd change the HDD to a caviar black (faster) , get the i5-3550 (k is for overclockling which is not needed for gaming), would be thinking of adding a 2nd gpu in the future?

Not looking to add a second GPU, want reasonable power for a good price now, hence the choice.
I have no intention of overclocking, so I'll look at dropping the "K" suffix.
Any other observations ?

Better case for better air cooling/cable management (perhaps PCS maelstrom t900 or the coolermaster 690 II), samsung 1333Mhz would also be ok.

Hello, if you can increase your budget by 20 pounds I'd recommend this system. I changed a few things, the most important bit being the GPU. The GTX 670 will max out any game on a single screen and is a lot better than the 570. Also I chose a better case as Ruben suggested, changed the HDD to a caviar black, more reliable and changed the mobo which is a bit better and costs 2 pounds less ^^

If you can afford it go with Wolvo7's suggestion, the GTX 670 would max the games you mentioned and others.
