Are you planning on overclocking the CPU? If not you don't need the 'k' variant of the CPU or 2400Mhz ram.

Yeah just for gaming.... My monitor i would also be buying from PC Specialist, probably getting the Ilyama Prolite E2773HS. Didnt add it to this post, i probably wont be overclocking either.

There is no need for the k processor as Steaky mentioned and you won't get any noticeable benefits from 2400mhz or 16gb ram. If you are getting the gtx 780 ti I would downgrade the motherboard to the z87-a (no impact gaming wise), i7-4770, triple copper heatpipe CPU cooler, 8gb 1600mhz ram and get a better monitor to fully benefit from the gtx 780 ti, one with a higher resolution 1440p.

Ok so;
Remove the K variant Processor
Downgrade (Kinda) the RAM
Downgrade the Motherboard

Unfortunately a 1440p monitor is out of my price range right now, so that might be something for the future unfortunately.

Also would you recommend a SSD, the 120GB HYPER-X 3K SSD isnt too expensive? Unfortunately i dont really understand RAID o_O;; Dont suppose you could offer a 'Laymans' explanationfor this if SSD drives are a good idea?

Thanks a million so far. big help :)

SSD's basically make your PC boot up quicker. Any program you load on the SSD may start a little quicker but in general its not a massive improvement. Game loading times may also benefit but in my experience the Caviar Black does well for games too.

I'd recommend a SSD if its within your budget, but mostly for the OS boot times. RAID is a way of linking hard drives basically. Depending on what RAID you have (0-1-2-3...etc.) will determine how much redundancy, backup and speed you may get. It's not really beneficial for most users imo.

Spec below.

You could drop the i7 to the i5 and save £60
You do not need a 850w PSU 750W is still too much but in budget and allows upgrades.
Chucked in a SSD and the caviar as a second drive. You could drop the SSD to a 120gb if you like, depends what you want to load quickly on it. I put WoW, Eve and LoL on mine. So requires some space.
