GAMING PC build help, cheap under £300 for a gift

Hi, I dont really know anything about PC builds. Can someone help me with it? I'm trying to build a gaming pc as a gift for someone under £300?

A gaming PC will cost a minimum of about £650 and even that is lower than you want to go.

For that price you'd be better off with a console.

The absolute minimum for a gaming PC might be about £500, and even then you're probably buying something less powerful than a console.

A more plausible entry level gaming system would probably be £550-650, with a mid-range system around £800.

Those prices just for the tower, not for the monitor + KB + mouse. Those would be another £80-100 or so.

For £300 you're probably best off buying your friend a console.
