gaming laptop

Hello,

I'm looking at getting a gaming laptop and was hoping to run this by someone with a bit more knowledge than me. The one below is coming out at £1,350 - in theory I could stretch to £1,500 but obviously would prefer not to! I'd like to be able to play Arma3/Watchdogs on decent settings (doesnt have to be ultra/highest) and hopefully be able to play stuff for the next 4 years (again, lower settings ok if need be). Anyhow, i've added a couple annotations to the spec below if someone could give me a bit of advice.

Chassis & Display
Vortex Series: 15.6" Matte Full HD LED Widescreen (1920x1080)
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-4710MQ (2.50GHz) 6MB
- will this be decent for next years? Or should I stump up for the 4810 or even the 4910 (49 would prob put me over budget but could stretch if necessary)?
Memory (RAM)
8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 (1 x 8GB)
- should I go for 16gb?
Graphics Card
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 780M - 4.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 11
- I've checked the forums and this seems pretty equal to the 880m
1st Hard Disk
750GB WD SCORPIO BLACK WD7500BPKX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 16MB CACHE (7200 rpm)
- i'm thinking of getting 120gb mSATA for the OS and the 7,200 for everything else - worthwile?
mSATA SSD Drive
120GB Kingston SSDNow mS200 mSATA (upto 550MB/sR | 520MB/sW)

1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
8x SATA DVD±R/RW/Dual Layer (+ 24x CD-RW)
Memory Card Reader
Internal 9 in 1 Card Reader (MMC/RSMMC/SD: Mini, XC & HC/MS: Pro & Duo)
Thermal Paste
ARCTIC MX-4 EXTREME THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COMPOUND
Sound Card
Intel 2 Channel High Definition Audio + MIC/Headphone Jack

The spec you posted looks good, if you can push your budget I would try to get the GTX 880m, no noticeable gaming wise with a better cpu or more ram.

thanks for the quick reply - can stretch the 880 and still be below budget.

Nothing else stood out as maybe causing a problem in a couple years? I'm wondering about the CPU and the RAM (I won't be doing anything apart from gaming and basic comp functions - email, internet, open office, etc).

Someone mentioned on another forum about making sure the board is sufficient that there won't be a BUS bottleneck - this system will be fine wont it?

thanks,
andy
