+1 to the above questions there.

Also, are you streaming your gameplay at all, and what kind of gaming / video editing split would you say you're using the PC for?

One more thing - Intel are about to release some new CPUs which much higher multithreaded (i.e. video editing) performance so you might want to hold off and see what they bring.

That would have been my next question lol. My budget is 1.8k. In regards to monitor would you be able to recommend one for about £300. I'm looking at 2k resolution.

Many Thanks

For £300 you'd be looking at a 1440p ("2k") 60hz screen, for which a 1080 ti is excessive.

You'd arguably be better off getting a GTX 1080 and a 1440p gsync high refresh screen.

There are other small tweaks too like the WD Black cost way, way more than it's worth for your uses, the UV400 being a slow SSD with other options like the 850 Evo or PM961 being a lot faster, the mobo having onboard wifi that you should probably try out before buying a separate and very expensive wifi adapter, getting faster RAM, and the cheap liquid coolers probably not being worth it.

But I'd wait until Monday to see what the word on Coffee Lake is. If it looks poor you may want to consider an AMD Ryzen system which has generally very decent gaming performance and much better multithreaded performance.

I'd suggest waiting to see when Coffee Lake will be available. I believe Intel are launching it on Monday so we should get details of availability there. By the looks of the specs it should have similar gaming performance and much better video editing performance for a similar price.

The onboard WiFi should be brilliant, based on the specs provided by ASUS, and based on youtube reviews, like this one. Scroll to 2m40s, or click here to listen to the opinion on the WiFi.
I would recommend the whole review, I am really looking forward to this motherboard in my PC.

or shall i go with NOCTUA NH-U14S FAN CPU COOLER for cooling?
The Noctua cooler outperforms the H80i and it's cheaper. Highly recommended.

Here's what I would propose:

Case: FRACTAL DEFINE R5 BLACK QUIET MID-TOWER CASE << Very quiet case with great cooling options
Processor (CPU): Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-7700k (4.2GHz) 8MB Cache
Motherboard: ASUS® ROG STRIX Z270E GAMING: LGA1151, USB 3.1, SATA 6GB, WiFi - RGB Ready!
Memory (RAM): 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3000MHz (2 x 8GB)
Graphics Card: 11GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti - HDMI, 3x DP GeForce - GTX VR Ready!
Get Destiny 2 with select GTX 10 Series GPUs! ** Limited Codes Available **
1st Hard Disk: 2TB SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 64MB CACHE << You don't need the small SSD cache, this is your "large, but slow" storage
M.2 SSD Drive: 256GB SAMSUNG PM961 M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 2800MB/R, 1100MB/W) << This is your ultra fast storage for Windows and apps
DVD/BLU-RAY Drive: 24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM
Power Supply: CORSAIR 650W TXm SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
Power Cable: 1 x 1 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead)
Processor Cooling: Noctua NH-U14S Ultra Quiet Performance CPU Cooler << Very quiet and efficient
Thermal Paste: ARCTIC MX-4 EXTREME THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COMPOUND
Sound Card: ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Wireless/Wired Networking: 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT (Wi-Fi NOT INCLUDED)

This has the internal CDRW unit, and the Fractal Design R5 case, which has 2 five inch bays.
I like the Define S case as well, but it has two shortcomings: no five inch bays (thus forcing you to use external CDRW unit), and the bottom filter cleaning is difficult, as the filter goes towards the back of the case. On the other hand, it has a window, if you want to showcase your build.
The R5 has a front door that hides the 2 bays and filters, making maintenance a lot easier. It has no window, but it's also quieter, as both panels are lined with sound dampening material. There's also the option for this case to purchase a window panel, if you want to showcase the contents.

By the way, have you decided on a monitor, or are you waiting for the 4K you mentioned previously?

I just bought an Acer Predator XB271HUA, which is a 27in TN Panel, WQHD (2560x1440) @ 144Hz, G-Sync, but it cost me £500, which is above your budget.
Not sure why, but this monitor is now gone from some websites, still available at the rain forest web store for £530.
Can't give you an honest opinion about it, I'm only using it with an HDMI cable at the moment connected to my MacBook, as my PCS gaming rig has not been built yet.

Last year, I bought a gaming system for my son, and got him a Dell S2716DG monitor, same features as mine. He's been very happy with it, gaming at WQHD resolution. Cost me 640 euro, which, at the time, was about £550. Don't know why, but it's more expensive today.

Anyway, notice the price range for such a monitor.

To come down in price, you need to make some sacrifices.
G-sync costs a lot, but I hear it's very important for fast paced games, and even movies. Buying a FreeSync monitor will not help you, with a GTX card you need G-Sync.
Even if you come down in resolution, price would still be above your budget. I've read some great reviews about Acer Predator XB241H, a 24 inch TN panel, 1080p, G-Sync.But it's approx £365.

I wouldn't know what to recommend under £300. But google "Gaming Monitors Buyer’s Guide – August 2017" and see what other people say.

We love you Ukraine
I would second the dell, I have one and it's truly excellent for the price. Reason it's gone up a bit is because of the weak pound.

If you're getting a gtx1080ti then you'll want a minimum of a high refresh rate 1440p or 4K. They are expensive.
