My budget is £1800 inc VAT - MAX

My aim is to be able to play any games on the foreseeable horizon over the next 18 months on highest settings at a resolution of 1920x1080 min, with out having to upgrade
I plan on hopefully getting the occulus or vive Vr Headset early part of next year
If anyone can point out any wasted money or some thing that I should have included but haven't or an item that would be better please fire away

A 980 will be able to do that, probably even a 970. An i5 would do you just fine too if you were looking to spend a little less. If you're not going to be overclocking then there's not much point in getting a "K" processor. The cooling would also not need to be anywhere near that expensive if you're not overclocking.

They do :) - still its good to understand a little about overclocking yourself though - help you work through instability issues etc. (obviously PCS will help you do that too as its covered in your warranty - its still good to have some understanding imo).

Basically this. But I still think a 4690K would be fine.
