First Time Gaming PC Buyer

Hello! I have been a console gamer for a long time and recently got a taste of PC gaming, I must admit.. All the trolls on the internet are correct, PC gaming is superior..

Basically I want a PC that will be able to run games on High to Maximum Settings, games like DayZ, Dying Light, Battle Field.. Etc..

Very Impressive, thank you! :)

I'm very picky with how things look and I have kind of fallen in love with the red/black med tower gaming case.. Do you have a build that would suit this?
I don't mind if the specs are not as good, as long as it can still run games well.

Sorry for being annoying

If you want to spend less you could downgrade to the gtx 970. The v300 ssd suffers from performance issues, if your budget is £1500 I would go with the gtx 980. You can choose any case you want, I would go with a full tower if you are planning to add a 2nd gpu.

What is the benefit of choosing the GTX 980 over the 970?

The gtx 980 is better, more suitable for higher resolution screens and higher fps compare to the gtx 970. You can check benchmarks online for both of them.
