First Gaming PC purchase from pcspecialist - what do you think ? any HELP before purchase appreciated

hello! bellow are the specs to my (second ) gaming PC. could someone have a quick look and let me know if i could run every game at 1440p ? the monitor iv chosen is 180hz would this be fine for the specs listed ?
Also is there any parts you would swap around or change from what i have selected to get the best possible performance out of the PC ?( don’t want anything bottlenecking 😬 )
total cost was around £2000 or £2400 inc VAT and trying to stay around this price if possible.
EDIT : the current monitor In question is the ASUS tuf gaming 27inch curved FHD (1920 x 1080 ) at 180hz but now I am thinking the 32 inch MSI curved WQHD ( 2560 x 1440 ) 170hz would be a better option ? Sorry I’m all new to this as you can probably tell ! 😅 if you need anymore info just let me know! Thanks and the PC would mainly be for gaming. Budget would be no more than £2500

when it comes to the extra fans it wouldn't let me choose 3 because the processor cooling unit iv chosen came with the liquid cooling + 1 fan and this takes up the extra fan slot, if this is the case should i just choose a processor cooling unit with +3 fans? but i would want them on the top/side of the case so im not sure what to do about that tbh. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Monitor: At this level, you most definitely want to go with a 1440p monitor. I would suggest getting it from elsewhere as you will have more choice. I will leave suggestions to others as I am not good with monitors. There is a monitor section on the forum so would be worth also looking through there

Fans: That case comes with 4 (3 front, 1 rear) and room in the roof for a 2 fan cooler....you won't get a 3 fan cooler in that case, nor will you get fans down the side. If you want either of those, then you will need to upgrade the case to the 5000x version

This spec leaves £300 for a 1440p monitor:

1st M.2 SSD Drive
512GB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 4700MB/sW) - You want your primary drive to be the fastest of the 2 as Windows needs faster speeds than a games drive. Also smaller to promote good housekeeping on it.
1st M.2 SSD Drive

2TB SOLIDIGM P41+ GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 4125MB/sR, 3325MB/sW) - A games drive can be slower as it doesn't need blistering speeds. Steer away from Samsungs as they have had reliability issues of late
Power Supply

CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES™ - MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET - The recommended minimum for the 7900GRe with an R7 CPU is 750w....you want a good amount of leeway to allow for any possible future GPU upgrades

Just to add to the cooling comments: You can put a 3 fan cooler (ie the H150i) in that case but it would need to sit at the front behind the 3 front fans. The ideal place for a cooler is the roof so that the heat is expelled outwards...behind the front fans and it is expelling the heat into the case. The 5000x (the 4000x's big brother) with a 3 fan cooler in the roof does look amazing but it is adding cost and you'd need to save on other areas of the build to do it which I wouldn't suggest. If you can find extra budget on top of the stated budget, then go for it

Hello again iv noticed you change the motherboard to the b650 instead of the x670e. Will this motherboard last me a while without having to upgrade it ? I’m looking to keep everything the same for the next 2/3 years except from maybe upgrading the graphics card in a year or so.

Also with the SSD iv changed to second m.2 slot to a P44 ( the same one as you chose for the first m.2 slot ) would this be ok ? ( EDIT : forget this i have changed it back to the p41 as iv read over what you've said again and its made good sense that the game drive should be slower than the main drive ) sorry for the misunderstanding !

Iv also upgraded the case to the 5000x as I could add more fans and it’s given me the option to place the processor cooler ( which I have now swapped for the H150i LCD xt cpu cooler as you stated would be a better option if my budget allowed) on the top or side and I chose top, assuming this is correct ? (how often would i change the liquid coolant for the processor ? and is this an easy job ? ) i heard you have to flush them out and replace the water/coolant but im not sure how often ?

One more question (sorry about all the questions ! 😬) with the thermal paste you said Corsair would provide there own but would the artic mx 4 be better or would you stick with the standard Corsair provided paste ?
Thanks you for all your help it’s been much appreciated!!
Would you be happy with this build and the changes iv made ?

JUST A QUICK UPDATE ON WHAT IV DECIDED TO GO WITH SO FAR ( WITH THE HELP OF SOME NICE PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM! ).

once i purchase this P.C i am looking to keep the PSU , CPU , CASE and MOTHERBOARD the same for a good 4/5 years ! with the exception of upgrading the RAM , GPU , MONITOR , AND ADDING MORE SSD STORAGE in between this time.
is anything here likely to bottleneck ? if so please let me know and i can make some changes. dont mind bumping up the budget a bit more than it already is if it would help future proofing (Budget can go to £2700 ) . for instance would it be better to go with the ASUS x670e plus wifi over the b650 as the price difference is not to high ( think around £80 more for the x670e ) CPU , PSU i am happy with. THANKS IN ADVANCE

Apologies fo not replying earlier, I was busy gaming. To answer the questions you asked earlier:

1) The main difference between X670 and B650 is gen 5 PCI-e lane for GPU but the industry isn't using that yet..by the time it's popular, we'll likly be onto the next socket anyway. You can see the differences for yourself if you want in the configurator if you click on the question mark next to the motherboard dropdown box.

2) Yep, the cooler should be in the top slot for best airflow out. As to adding more fans, that would be an aesthetic thing as, for performance, the 4 case fans and the 3 cooler fans is more than ample for your needs.....I run the same cooler and CPU in the 5000x but with an NVIDIA 4090 playing games at 4k120 whilst having a stream open on a second monitor and have no cooling issues whatsoever.

3. The thermal paste: The Corsair paste is applied by machine at Corsair's factory before being shipped and is an excellent quality paste. For PCS to add the MX-4, they would need to scrape this paste off and then apply the new paste..however, this is by hand so the even-ness of it will be less (not saying it's bad but the difference between hand applied vs a machine applied)

We spec builds with an eye towards 7-10 years before needing replacement, outside of perhaps a GPU upgrade or two in the meantime. The only area would possibly be the PSU if you decided down the line to upgrade to a 4k GPU as the power increases somewhat. For me, an extra £37 for the 1200w PSU is nothing to cover the possibility but that's me.

If you really must have the fans for reasons then I would select the "Link" offering along with the "Link" version of the cooler. You will have far less wiring in the build that way.

You have been more than helpful ! Thanks a lot with all your knowledge I finally feel comfortable buying the RIG ! 😆 I may make a slight adjustment to the PSU so it lasts longer. Can’t wait to finally purchase as iv been waiting for sometime now, but finally it’s all come together haha. Thanks a lot for all your help and yeah… never be sorry for gaming ! 😆 appreciate it though, all the best.

Sorry, where is the LINK ? The fans are definitely for aesthetic purposes ( may aswell use up the slots 😆 ) and would like for the wiring ect to be neat/few.

Always better to share the configuration as well as the link at the bottom so that we can go in and help with selections etc.

The LINK options are available in the cooler and fan sections. You have selected the Elite LCD option, if you scroll down further you will see the LINK version. Same with the fans, the LINK ones are towards the bottom of the list.

Ahh found them, thanks man. I liked the look of the LCD display though, is this something
I could add onto the LINK in future ? Definitely going for the link option as they do look better and with less wiring will make it even better ! 😁 thanks.

Yes, you can buy the LCD module for the pump head. It's actually a really good modular system, it's great to see this sort of design incorporated in cooling.
