Very nice build! This will run through anything you run at it!
Theres one thing i would amend though but its completely your choice
I would change the ram to the 8GB Kingston 1600mhz for more future proof, its cheaper too

Yeah, I was thinking it through, but I can buy another 4GB of that RAM at a later date if needed. From what most of the guys on these forums are saying, you don't really need more than 4GB unless video editing. Granted, you don't need alot of the stuff I got, but RAM is one of the only things I feel confident in changing, and the motherboard has room for the extra 4GB if needed.

OK, so the order is now in Processing (forgot to send the documents to Hitachi, stupid me), but I have a question about my order and I'm hoping you guys can help me.
Looking at the overclock settings of my order, memory frequency seems to be set at 1600MHz even though I've ordered 2133MHz RAM. Will PCS pick up on this and change the settings when my rig reaches building?
Thanks for any help you can give

Just a word on the finance bud, if you give them a ring they are happy for you to scan the forms and e-mail them over. Bit of a time saver :)

Cheers, thats what I ended up doing. Since it said finance accepted I figured I wouldn't have to do anything else...
Also, scrap that question about the RAM, I've decided to switch it down to 8GB of 1600MHz RAM. Wonder what other amendments I'll make while waiting =)

Damn you, everyone who has bought the 120GB OCZ Vortex 3 SSD and the 1000W PSU! Now I have to wait for PCS to get more in stock.... sad times. Anyone know roughly how long it will take to get some more of these in stock?

Still in pre-production :( Oh well, all the best things take time. And once again I have decided to amend some parts of the order. I swapped the 2TB Caviar Black for 2 x 1TB Caviar Black and threw in RAID 1 aswell.

Don't worry, I'll let you all know :D From the reviews and banchmarks I have seen they shouldn't get ridiculously hot, really hoping that the air tunnel thing in the Cosmos case will help keep the temps down.

Every game i play is at max settings and 1920x1200 hottest my 580 gets to is 71C-73C thats on bfbc2 multiplayer most other games it seems to get about 61C idles at 41C

I have a couple of questions, and I just remebered its a bank holiday tomorrow, so PCS live support will be down :(
So, I figured I'd ask them here, see if anyone knows the answers...

1) I have heard stories of people using an SSD as a boot drive, then having Windows increase in size among some other problems. I have seen some cases where Windows has tried to defrag an SSD, and people having to fiddle around with options in order to save space on the SSD. Question is, how likely is this to happen? Are there any Windows options you would recommend changing when I get my rig?

2) Regarding the Coolit Eco C240. I know it has two 120mm fans, but what configuration do they come in? I was hoping to have a push/pull config, and if that is not how it is setup is there anyway I could get the guys at PCS to alter it for me?

Thanks in advance for any help. I reckon I've learnt more about PCs in the past month than I have the rest of my life :D

PCS should disble defrag for you FacetiousPizza as defraging is indeed not very good for the SSD's health. Well...it will live but it will just degrade 1 of its many 42157325+ write lives you could say lol. the ssd life is like determind by the number of writes to the drive and defragin will perform a large number of write operations to large portions of the drive so no real benefit you could say.

You may want to call up PCS for that as i remeber seeing someone on the forum that requested PCS to do the push an pull config for the rad. both coolit eco will come standard without any push or pull config besides having the provided attached fan which is treated as the pull. So you can call up PCS first thing Tue to request it which im sure should be okay with them. Its a pretty simple task and not too hard. Im just told several times to get good decent low rpm fans for the push an pull config as something too powerful will bottleneck the rad apparently.

Thanks Teaz, have some rep :)
The reason I ask about the push/pull config is that I have heard that it will keep temps lower than having both fans on the same setting. Can you or anyone else confirm this?

I cant guarantee so you may still want to double check. It does in most case but some people its doesnt or some where it is just 1c temp drop, it might be possible due to the way it was done along with fans, case temps and other theory to take into consideration. But it should usually give abit of drop but cant guarantee how much so you could double check.

Sorry guys, another question...

Since I have now changed the 2TB Caviar Black to 2 x 1TB Caviar Black in RAID 1, I am assuming I will only have 1TB of space (since RAID 1 is the mirrored version) correct? If so, then will 1TB be enough for storing quite a few games on? As soon as I get this rig, I plan on getting Crysis (1,2 and Warhead), Total War (Empire/Napolean/Shogun 2), Metro 2033, Farcry 2, Bad Company 2, COD (MW2/Black Ops) and the Assasins Creed Series. And thats just to start. Looking at those games, that will already be taking up a fair bit of space.
I suppose the question is, do you think I should stick to the 2 HDDs in RAID or swap back to a single 2TB HDD?

1 TB should be more than enough...let's say on average a game is 10gig..that's about 90 games!. Although a 2tb hd isn't a huge price to pay
