Very good spec, absolutely nothing to recommend... it's going to be a beast!

If I were to upgrade to the Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-2820QM (2.30GHz) 8MB Cache, it would be about £250 difference.

Would this be worth it for future usage?

Silly comparison, I was also thinking about gettin a 32" tv for use upstairs.

If you (if anyone actually reads this) had to decide without knowing me which would be of more use, what would you recommend.

Semi-serious question, don't want to pay money for the upgrade if it's just going to be a waste or could be better spent elsewhere on the laptop build.

After looking at the benchmarks I went for the i7-2360QM to on my build - seemed to have the most bang for buck. Also it's seems accoridng to the benchmarks like it's 5x faster than my old old old Athlon X2 4400+ desktop! lol :)

Yes, the 2630. Not "the i7-2360QM to on my build" as you said which had me confused as you can actually get a 2360.

But, hey, what's a bit of juxtaposition between friends?

Yeh,

but Pez, the thing is, I've been warned about you.

I started off about about £800, current order placed at just over £1300 and thinking about up-ing that again to about £1550 but will need to decide swiftish as it is in processing.

What kind of functional difference would it make?

Already given you rep for help previously but have another one for the PM you sent.

I'm at work right now Jim, so a little tricky to search. However, check the forums through the search function. Look got GPU comparisons. there's a couple of links that will show you the performance of the 460m on various games at different settings and the 485m on different settings. the 485m is a beast, but costs a fair chunk of cash!
