Feedback on this build please :)

I'm looking for a future proof (3year at least) gaming rig. The build below is at the top end of my budget, £2000. I'm looking for any feedback as to weather all the components are compatible, and that the cooling in the case is sufficient. Also how loud/quiet would the setup be? Couldn't really see any info on this as I built it.

One thing I am unsure of is the ssd/hdd combo. As in how do they work? As I understand it SSD is supposed to a lot faster than a hdd. But they don't seem to hold as much memory. So what how do they work together and the like?

Also I wanted a blue-ish case with 2 extra case fans, but the two wouldn't go together :( any ideas as to how to get around this? If I'm going to spend this amount of money on a pc I would like to get what I want :p

Is it just for gaming? 1 screen? You may want to consider a single faster gpu like the gtx 780. Having a SLI set up is going to be noisy when gaming.

The configurator will give you a warning if there are any issues with the components, the cooling seems fine but unnecessary if you are not planning to overclock the cpu.

Well mainly for gaming, but I also do some HD video editing. It would be on 2 monitors.

The i7-3770 will perform better than the i7-3820 for more cpu intensive applications and for 2 monitors I think a single gtx 780 will max the latest games and be less noisy than an SLI set up. You could also consider upgrading your warranty.

Would this build still be viable in say 3 years time?

You have the option to add a 2nd GTX 780 to improve gaming performance, I think it is a good spec. You could consider a pre-overclocked system if you are thinking of overclocking your cpu and a caviar black as the secondary drive.

Is there any explanation for this surely the i7-3820 is faster and with bigger cache. How does this equate to worse performance.

I think I will most likely go for that last setup I posted. I know it might sound a bit weird still but I really want an all blue-ish look :p Would there be anything PCS could do if I phoned them up like?

EDIT: Never mind, I changed the case to InWIN BLACK DRAGON RIDER GAMING CASE, and opted for 1xadditional case fan. - that wouldn't scupper the heat levels/air flow would it?

Calling them to request a blue theme for your system?

Well I've been talking with my mate on wow about it. He says there are variants of the fans supplied with that first case I linked. Like instead of red led fans, they do blue. As to weather or not PCS can do that apon request I don't know :p

You could contact them to get an official response but I don't think they offer that level of customisation.
