If you're going to be considering overclocking when you get your PC, why don't you get PCS to overclock it for you, the configurator for OC'd machines forces you to choose the relevant thermal paste and cooling so that your PC won't get too hot, ie. it would need a higher spec cooler than you've selected, but would be a safer option.

Have you considered on of the Caviar Black drives for your primary hard drive, it would make loading your OS and other things faster (and believe me I know how long Visual Studio takes to load, so any improvement on that would be a bonus).

Also consider upping the warranty to silver for a fiver, well worth it if only for peace of mind (unless of course you live just round the corner from PCS in which case you probably don't need).

Hi Rakk

Ive got a caviar black drive as my primary, i have the 2nd HD as my slower option. Im not to sure about the OC'ing at the moment as i dont think im really going to need it for what im planning to do with the machine. Im mainly just thinking of having a little play around with it see the possibilities. Ill take a look at changing or upgrading my cooling system prior to doing any OC'ing.

I Originally selected the 600W cooler but it came up telling me it wasnt needed for my spec so i set it back lol.

Ah yeah, so you do, that's what I get for trying to reply to posts and get VS2010 to do something useful at the same time :)

Not 100% sure but more RAM would be a smart investment if photo editing

Also for headroom formupgrades I'd get a corsair 650w PSU they are much better quality and will last longer

I was considering upgrading the RAM but thought id have a look at how its running first. Im am considering getting the cooler swapped now thou especially as ill end up messing about with OC'ing
